This website processes as little personal data as possible. We do not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The information below explains, pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR, which data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have. The German version of this page is legally binding.

2. Data collected when visiting the website (server log files)
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records information that your browser transmits. These so-called server log files typically include:
- Anonymised or shortened IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of the access
- URL requested and HTTP status code
- Volume of data transferred
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Referrer URL (previously visited page)
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and the IT security of the website (protection against misuse and attacks).
Retention period: Log files are stored for a maximum of 14 days and then deleted. The data is not merged with other data sources.
3. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, the information from your email (your email address, your name where given, and the content of the message) is stored solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry and any follow-up questions.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation of a contractual relationship) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry).
Retention period: We delete your enquiry as soon as it is no longer needed. Where statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. commercial or tax law), the data is stored until the respective period expires.
4. Cookies, tracking and analytics
This website uses no cookies, no web-analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo) and no advertising, tracking or profiling services. No data is transmitted to external services — apart from the hosting itself and the log-file collection described above.
5. Embedded content and external links
All content embedded on this website (HTML, CSS, fonts, images, SVG graphics) is delivered directly from the hosting server. No external fonts, CDN scripts or third-party content are loaded. External links (e.g. to the EU's online dispute resolution platform in the imprint) only establish a connection to third parties when you explicitly click them.
6. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you at any time:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)

To exercise these rights an informal message to info@thinforge.org is sufficient.
7. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz — datenschutz.rlp.de.
8. Data security
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS). This protects the transmission of your data between your browser and our server from being read by third parties.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or our technical implementation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
